“Do you know one of the ways that The Godhead remains eternal?” This was the question that came to my mind totally out of the blue a while ago as I sat meditating. I knew that this was the voice of the Spirit and so being the smart gal that I am I answered “no I do not.” “Well, the eternal nature of the Godhead is based on ‘The Principle of Honor and Preference’” Honor and Preference? I asked. Yes, honor and preference. The Principle of Honor and Preference is the principle that governs the propagation of the Godhead and perpetuates the unending cycle of life unto life, unto life.
“You see, each member of the Godhead preferentially honors and elevates the other above self. This was the way it was in the beginning the way it is now, and the way it will always be.”
The Lord then went on to explain this principle to me using Scripture to demonstrate the validity of what He told me.
He explained that He God, said of His Word, that He has magnified it above all of His names – preferring His Word (Jesus)

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above thy entire name.
The Word – Jesus we know continually honored His Father by saying that He did only what he saw the Father do…
◄John 5:19 ►
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily,verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise…
So who is the greater? The Lord said to my heart…
Likewise, it was testified of Jesus that all that He did, He did by the power of The Spirit – Honoring the Spirit…

And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region roundabout.
And The Spirit moved only when The Word was spoken… Preferring The Word.
◄Genesis 1:2-3 ►
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
So who is the greater?
And yet again The Word testifies that Ruach is the breath of God which He breathed into man, and whom He left here on earth with us – Preferring The Spirit. But, this same Spirit is The Dunamis of God, who honors The Father…
So then who is the greater?
According to what the Lord showed me none is the greater, but each member of the Godhead makes the other more significant, magnifying the Godhead in ever increasing glory… I then realized based on this surmise that the only way for this cycle of honor and preference to be broken would be through dishonor,division or disharmony, and if that were to occur, the Godhead would cease to magnify itself and death would ensue – A scenario that is nigh impossible…
I wondered why The Lord brought these things to my mind, but while still pondering on this fact the Lord brought me home… He said to me “Do you know that this is the same Law that I set down for the perpetual propagation of the marriage relationship?”
Then I got it!
◄Ephesians 5:22-27 ►
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife,even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
The Lord says for the wife to submit (show preference) and for the husbands to love (Honor) their wives…
It dawned on me that if a man would honor his wife, and if a woman would prefer her husband, they each would make the other greater, thereby perpetuating the unending cycle of marriage in ever increasing glory… But if this cycle of honor and preference is broken through dishonor, division or disharmony, the marriage will cease to magnify itself and death would ensue…
So who is the greater?
I make bold to say that if man and woman would obey the law honor and preference and like the Godhead if they each would magnify the other as greater, the unending cycle of life even as signified by the wedding band would remain unbroken.
This is a prayer that needs to echo from the hearts of those who are married, have been married or seek to be married, that God through the revelatory knowledge of His Word by The Spirit would apprehend the power of this principle, for life unto love, unto life, ad infinitum…
May this mystery be revealed to us from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord in the name of Jesus.
Wives prefer your own husbands; Husbands, honor your wives
